Anne Trieba’s Exhibition at the Friday Gallery – Mädchen und andere Leute”

Anne Trieba will be showing her new series of oil portraits, drawing of Munich street life and a few of her illustrations at the Friday Gallery at an exhibition entitled “Mädchen und andere Leute” starting on April 27th.  We showed Anne’s work late last year at the Friday Gallery and are happy to show her work for a second time. If you missed Anne’s first show, we encourage you to come to the Friday Gallery on April 27th at 1900 to see her work incorporating oil paint, raw canvas and fibre arts.

Anne Trieba will also be sharing a variety of her drawings based on her impressions of different areas of Munich and her illustration work.  If you are on Facebook, please join the vernissage event page. If you are not a Facebooker, please let me know by emailing me at emmy@kyfio.com.

Note:

For 2015, Munich Artists is exhibiting artists at the Friday Gallery.  The idea is to offer a few Munich artists the opportunity to share their work with Munich, Germany in a gallery setting.

Although we loving seeing paintings in a classic gallery style, Munich Artists will switch to more interactive installations for 2016 so we can tap another vein of Munich Artists.

Munich Artists Ebay Project

You would think I was a scientist with the way I tinker and experiment but no, I’m an artist and just sick of how artists get manipulated in the distribution channel.   Because Martin Potsch is doing ok using ebay to sell small paintings, I thought we should try this with more than just one artist.  Starting in two weeks, we will start auctioning off Munich Artists on ebay.  As soon as we get a space, we will showcase the art on auction.   We are going to have a few artists doing the classic Sunday to Sunday auction and the rest will go from Friday to Friday so we can celebrate the switch on Friday evenings.    Keep your fingers crossed we find a space!

The artists we are selecting for this experiment are using different mediums but all of them are producing art and working to build their careers as artists – Just the kind of people I like to work with and promote.

Reminder: BCA Munich artists are selling art at a bazaar on Friday.

Update:  We tried selling on Ebay and I found it too time consuming for the returns.  This really works if you are selling your own artwork priced between 10 and 100 Euro.   I met another artist from the US who was also selling his daily art pieces in this price range.

Buying Artwork By Munich Artists

BCA Munich helps Munich artists promote and market their work.  We plan to license art from Munich artists but that doesn’t mean we don’t want them to sell their original art!   Because they’ve asked, we are organizing a few ways for them to sell art.  One way is for them to sell their original art at a bazaar on November 16th.  If you would like to purchase a piece of original art from a BCA Artist, come say hello and see what is for sale.  We have artwork at all price points by Munich Artists.  The piece above by Nutan Jaeger is 45 Euros which is a great deal!
